Re│mod (www.remodshop.com) sells vintage mid-century modern and beautifully designed objects of years past, including seating, tables, desks, lighting, and accessories. The company's goal to "rediscover, reuse, and introduce," is amply accomplished by re | introducing finds from yesteryear, we will soon launch a program to promote local designers who create new objects. This collective approach will provide a platform for new designers to learn and emerge from.

Plodes Studio is a Texas based multidisciplinary design firm that draws from a coalescence of art, product, and architectural design. Plodes offers a process of design that can implement architectural, interior, furniture, product, art, and graphic design services for their clients.

Their designs communicate a clear conceptual intent infused with collaborative process and meaning. Their work has been in national and international publications alike, such as I.D., ICON, Metropolis, Contract, and Texas Monthly, including countless online blogs.

Plodes Studio is architectural designer John Paul Plauché and registered architect Roya S. Plauché. Together they have almost 20 years of experience in the design industry; from hundreds of thousands of square feet in architecture, to countless product, art, and graphic projects.www.plodes.com

Profile: Alex Rosa

Alex Rosa draws on paper, mostly using pencil and pen but he also flirts every now and then with different medias. The funny-strange drawings, part pop culture/polical affairs/personal experiences, part phantasmagorical spell, wry and filled with an intricate, transporting cryptcness aim to tell a narrative. Small size sketches and zine will be on display. He will be available for on the spot portraiture.

Profile: Josh Pazda

Josh Pazda is a Houston based artist who makes small scaled collages on paper. Appropriating a vast array of found materials, Pazda's collages employ color, texture, and line to synthesize non-objective abstraction on an intimate scale. Art historical references, autobiography, and archetypes culminate in a manner that becomes both personal and universal.

Meet some of the artists participating in the newest Holiday POP UP SHOP, December 8th at Peel Gallery.

Founder and brainchild behind POP and the brand stella rose, Celeste Tammariello creates original designs based on her sketches and drawings applied to t-shirts, journals, pillows and prints. stella rose is featured in magazines, local boutiques and photoshoots. These abstract minimalistic organic forms are a statement of simple beauty and design.
